Long Hair,

I am an electrical engineer in Silicon Valley of California (San Jose Area, South of San Francisco), who left Hong Kong and came to United States in 1979. Athough I was not able to cast a vote for you, I am very excited and delighten that you are elected, by the people, and for the people.

With current political condition in Hong Kong, you will have a tough job in the upcoming four years. I think that you objective is not just go up to the stage and come down immediately with a flash on the stage. The objective is to wake up people and to do something for the people inthe long term. Therefore, you need to hold on and serve your term and re-elected agin for the next term.

You are a wise man, please handle the big picture wisely and use the available resources smartly to help you acheive the objective.

About the October First Banquet, you have posted the options are:
1)在場館外示威,不參與十一酒會.
2)在場館外示威,參與十一酒會,繼續在場館內示威.
3)在場館外示威,但參與十一酒會.

I will recommend you to take the option 3 as a baseline.
During the banquet, there are many options for you and demonstration is the worse choice. It will be your show, and you can be very creative, and there are many ways to convey opinions. Even though you are not agree with many people in the banquet, you still have to respect their right to celebrate. It is mutual.

My best regards!
