Hi Long Hair and all,
I think that Long Hair has already made the point on the "pledge content" issue, and it has already accomplished the gaol. It just likes throwing a rock into a calmly (or dead water ??) pond and stirs up waves of ripple.
That is, with Long Hair's suggestion of using his amended version of "pledge", people start to notice the unreasonable and ridiculus of the current system. All the clowns has jumped out and exposed themselves due to the rock being thrown into the pool of dead water. Also, it has induced people to look into the issue from a fresh angle of view.
There is no solid legal basis that Long Hair's amended version of "pledge" violate the "Basic Law" spirit, as Mr. 戴耀庭 of 香港大學法律學院副院長 has pointed out.
Also, there is no solid legal basis that Long Hair not qualified as member of Legco. It is just controversial from legal pointof view. However, a continue flight on the "ritual" may become meaningless, and not productive. The system by itself is ridiculus anyway. It may be time to get in and to rebuild the system once we have exposed its ridiculus.
To view Long Hair and his NEW supports as only fighting against institution is some what too simple view,or even too naive. They (we) are also whistle blower and new system builder.
The point has been made, the clowns has been exposed, and it is time to get in to do the job.
"Long Hair" the Leung Kwok Hung is just a beginning, and with the inspiration, there will be Long Hair the X,Y,X and A,B,C, but they will all be individual with unquie characters. A homogenous society with one mind and one thought is not our goal.
Regards!
