東鐵過海幣處:
1. 東鐵減至九卡,雖增加班次亦不能彌補運載力大減
2. 來自馬鐵乘客會選擇在大圍站轉乘東鐵過海,而不是在紅磡站轉東鐵。東鐵過海計畫令馬鐵乘客在大圍站開始流向東鐵,令大圍站以南的一段東鐵成為樽頸位,加上東鐵減至九卡,勢必令東鐵十分擠迫。
3. 建議照原先方案讓馬鐵過海,東鐵可維持十二卡。另東鐵可以繼續在尖沙咀站轉地鐵過海。加上馬鐵居民可以沿鑽石山九龍城站過海,不須在大圍轉東鐵,亦舒緩了東鐵的擠迫。
4. 另外,慈雲山及黃埔輕鐵接駁系統亦為多此一舉。慈雲山局民可以乘搭十方便的小巴,輕鐵接駁系統根本不及小巴方便。小巴途經慈雲山多個公共屋村及屋宛,市民只需步往樓下即可乘小巴。慈雲山輕鐵接駁系統亦會打擊小巴司機生計,若讓慈雲山輕鐵接駁系統直接競爭,輕鐵多數會輸,到時田北晨為政府經營的鐵路業務,又要用行政手段削減小巴線,就像今天西鐵的情況一樣。
