She sighed softly in contentment, her eyes fluttering closed once more as she rested against him. For a few long moments, she was silent, just the sound of the forest at night surrounding them, lulling her into a restful state. It wasn't until she was nearly asleep that she found herself speaking again. "You know, a year ago when my parents died, I thought that nothing could ever make me feel....right again. Nothing could ever make me feel as complete as my family had." Her tongue peeked out to taste the soft skin beneath one of his scales before she slid the scale properly back into place again so it wouldn't agitate him. "And then you came along and kind of...knocked me out of my melencholy." With that she smiled lightly, her eyes opening to stare off at the fire, though the lids were hooded to show her sleepiness. "..and you...and the whelps...made me feel complete again, Dane." The last part was whispered, her eyes closing once more as she cuddled impossibly closer to him. She may never have this man's heart, this beast's love might never belong fully to her but she would at least have his affections and respect, she was adamant in that. "I don't know what would have happened to me if you hadn't come along and shooken up my life but I just...I just want you to know that...that you saved me. From myself...and I would be lost without you now." She grinned lightly then, nipping at his skin as if to chastise him for being so tense. "At least you know I am not with you because you are rich but lemme tell you, that's definitely a plus too." Her cheek nuzzled against his shoulder, showing her affection and that she was teasing him. With a soft groan, she shifted her weight again, the pain between her temples flaring up once more and making her sigh as she rested her head back against him, content to ride out the pain as long as he was close.
