He had woken that morning to find his still virginity still in tact but his mate cuddled up like a whelp in his arms. A smile crossed his lips as he brushed a kiss to her forehead before jumping up get to the shower, shaving well and tying his hair back carefully. He pulled on a pair of jeans and a black button shirt, leaving the top few unbuttoned casually before heading back to find her still sleeping. A smile crossed his lips as he gazed at her warmly, today would be a happy day, one that he was excited about. Everyone had heard the mating call that Dane had sent out three days ago, it had been impossible to miss. Three days was the amount of time usually needed to recooperate enough to travel back home, to let one's hormones settle and to give the lass enough rest to let her body finish the fertilization process. A smile crossed his lips as he thought about young Bree, ripe with whelps. He still thought she was a little young but one did not argue with nature and nature had pushed Bree into going into her heat when she did, Durgan had to trust that their was a plan behind it all. His hand trailed over her cheek slowly, not to wake her but just because he wanted to touch her soft, pale skin for a moment. With a content sigh, he dragged himself from her side and instead went to head out into the hallway, talking to the head maid and cook about the feast that was to be planned for that day. The tenants who had yet to meet their Lairds mate were anxious to see her, the ones who had wanted to give their congratulations - the men wanted to give Dane their playful condolences - and the harem was anxious to be on their way to their own homes, it seemed, but first they needed Dane to formally release them with the announcement that he had chosen his mate. Satisfied that everything was under control and the festivities would begin that afternoon as planned, he went to seek his own breakfast. Walking out into the courtyard, he breathed in the early morning air with a smile - as rare as it was - on his face. In one swift second he shifted forms and multi-toned wings spread as he took off. Hunting for his breakfast sounded like a good way to start the morning, unlike his brother, he would not just go snatch a cow - he would actually go hunt for something that was in a fence.
