Crunching merrily, he seemed to finally realize she was speaking - though he had been listening intently to her the entire time - and answered as though he had never been distracted.) He had missed his brother, and looked forward to spending a lot of time with him. There were other siblings he wished to see as well, younger and more precocious even than Durgan.. but not quite as close. There were so many things he wanted to show Bree, he realized, to make her appreciate his home and his people, to make her want to stay. He thought perhaps, that if he could make her fall in love with Lallybroch then perhaps she would stay.. Danu knew he couldn't get her to love him. He wasnt the lovable sort, and he knew that.. he was bristly, hotheaded and very set in his ways.. but he could take a mate nominally and at least hope to be happy with her. He grunted when she butted his shoulder, looking down into her displeased face, and laughed softly at the expression there.) Dinna fash, lass.. I ken what I am doing, aye?
