Subject: This is my life

(Afternoon found him walking through a narrow tree-lined street towards one of the larger homes that dotted the countryside of Lallybroch. It was a home that he had visited so many times that he fancied himself part of the household at times. Nathan and Heather MacDougall were very close friends, with Heather being his cousin and Nathan being a rapscallion he had grown up with. It wasn't all that often that Dragon's found their true mate.. but Heather had.. and Zidane was glad that she had. It also wasn't all that often that he traipsed about the grounds as a dragon, owing to the fact that flying was faster, and walking was more comfortable as a human, but today he was comfortable lumbering around in his dragons form. He heard the flutter of wings, the crash of broken glass, a roar and some laughing, and stopped dead in the road. Looking over at Bree, he found himself smiling broadly.) I need to warn ye of something, aye? (He said with a laugh in his voice. They had spent the entire morning together, sharing breakfast and lunch, touring the grounds and generally getting to know each other. He'd spent some time showing her some more flying manuevers and how to harness fire a bit better, and she had shown him how to laugh at himself when he had gotten the end of his tail caught in a tree. All in all they had had a wonderful time together, and he was still flying high with thoughts of her.) My cousin Heather lives here, with her mate, Nathan.. and some eighteen whelps. (He grinned at her shocked expression.) They had seven bairn in the last clutch.. about three months ago.. the canna even fly yet. (He nodded towards the yard, where he could distinctly hear the sound of his godson, Hamish, trying to fry his younger sister. He reached through the hedge that seperated them from the yard with his tail, and when he pulled it back out there was a squirming ball of red wriggling from it.) This is what a whelp looks like, lass. (He said with a chuckle, as Hamish unfurled, dangling upside down, and let out a tiny snort of fire. The wee wings flapped madly and he grunted, then went limp, whining. He wasn't but a couple of feet long, but already had the look of the MacDougall dragons in his plump form.) Ye arena trying to fry yer wee sister, now are ye? (He asked, and when the little dragon shook his head, he wasn't surprised to hear a wee voice say 'Aye, he was, unca' Dane'. Sarah, the little silver dragon that looked identical to her father, peered out of the bush. She saw Bree and trotted all the way out, flapping her tiny wings frantically to lift herself up to see the newcomer. She wasn't all that good yet, and bobbled side to side, until Dane stuck out a wing for her to stand on. She sniffed at Bree and smiled broadly, then started chatting animatedly about her father, her mother, white dragons, her dog Sam, and many many other things. Hamish, meanwhile, had been hefted over Dane's back. He plopped down by his sister and immediately scrambled up Dane's neck to lay flat out on his head the same way Bree had lain in the forest teh day before, his neck stretched and his head laying on Dane's snout. Dane was in seventh heaven, smiling adoringly even as he crossed his eyes to look at Hamish.)
