She kept the tiny male clutched to her breast, Sarah sleeping around her shoulders as she crossed over to where Dane was looking down into the cradle. Her eyes softened immeasurably as she gazed at them, her voice a mere whisper. "I've never seen them in an egg before..." She watched as he touched the one's cheek, it's cheek barely bigger than his finger. "They are so tiny..." She looked down at the little male in her arms, a small smile on her face. "They are so perfect....At first I felt sorry for the poor woman, having eighteen children...but it really is a blessing isn't it, Dane?" She questioned softly, leaning into his side just a little. She smiled as Sarah grumbled in her sleep, nudging her head right under Bree's chin. The male started to fuss and she began to hum once more, reassuring him that he was safe and warm. Her eyes were narrowed on the hatchlings though, amazed by the process that the wee little things went through to start their lives. "I can't get over how perfect they are." She smiled softly, looking a bit distracted as she lifted one hand to tuck the blanket tighter around the male in her arms. Just gazing at them made her ache deep inside of her, she gave it away to her biological clock ticking maybe but there was a clenching in her chest and a desire in her stomach that she didn't fully understand. She knew that she would love to have children some day but she had always pictured fat little rosy cheeked humans, not a clutch of reptillian looking creatures and yet...now as she looked down at them in their eggs, or the one in her arms, or even wee Sarah wrapped her neck, she found herself wanting this. These little miracles that would grow up to be so strong and powerful and yet stay little for so long being innocent and mischevious. Without even thinking about it, she followed her bodies instincts and leaned closer to Dane, letting him shelter her body as she held the whelp, much like Nathan would do to Heather when he was watching over her and their children...
