He looked up when she called his name, whuffing in response as he shook out his body, casting water everywhere. He moved up to a spot that was more shallow, where he could stand comfortably and then watched with a smile as she tumbled into the water. His head ducked to avoid the oncoming splash, his eyes closed to shield them. When she came up from the water he laughed and leaned over to nudge her neck playfully, feeling more youthful and alive than he had in a year. Absently, he thought that Bree would enjoy the company of this young lass, they would get along well together in their youthfullness. A smile caressed his lips as he watched her play in the water, playfully flapping his own wings to spray her with the cool liquid. His big eyes blinked as he watched her, suddenly taking in the sleek form of her. She was beautiful in her dragon form, long, muscular and such a dark black that she nearly appeared midnight blue in the moonlight. The feathers atop of her head were so delicately feminine. How, before her and Bree, had he never noticed that? A low breath escaped his lips and he whuffled again, clearing his throat as he nudged her side with his head. He lipped across the back of her spine for a moment in an effort to soothe and relax her before he pulled back and roared playfully, rearing up on his hind legs before dropping back into the water with a grand splash. It felt good to be careless for a little while, forgetting about all his issues and worries and just focusing on her and enjoying life.
