Her face showed her confusion as he talked about Kaden but then she just let him speak as she guided him over to the bed and then went to retrieve her wash cloth and a small bowl of warm water. Kneeling in front of him, she carefully took away the bandages and then started to clean out the wounds, sure that they would heal in just a few hours time but wanting to make sure there was no risk for infection when they did. When he fell silently, she leaned forward to place a kiss to his abdomen, her cheek resting there for a moment as she just held him before she pulled back again to gaze up at him. "It's never to late, Dane. He might look a lot bigger and meaner now but he's still the same boy who just wanted your attention." She smiled softly, encouragingly at him. "Now he is just acting out to get your attention also. It will just take some patience, that's all. Don't give up on him just yet." Her hand reached up to gently brush back his hair, completely oblivious to Durgan being in the room - though the other brother had drifted back just watching the couple with a sense of profound relief and pleasure at seeing the fact that his brother had found such a worth female - as she just focused on comforting her mate when it was obvious he was so distraught. "Now we know where he is, we can start to make progress into rebuilding our relationship with him as soon as everything is settled here, right?" She leaned up again, pressing a warm kiss to his jaw before she settled back again on her knees in front of him - once more focusing on caring for his wounds that really, weren't all that serious.
