Subject: February Nuisance Wildlife Solution Tip Of The Month

The tip this month is very simple, DO NOTHING. You may want to check your gutters and see how much they are sagging because of the ice buildup. Other than that, do not alter anything around the house. Do not make any repairs or trim trees due to the possibility of wildlife already in the attic or soffit. If wildlife is in your attic, its best to let them continue climbing the same route. Trimming trees will not prevent the established animal(s) from getting onto the roof, they will find another way such as downspouts leaving scent trails on more areas of the home.

Squirrel babies are born this time of year and raccoons will be having their offspring very soon. Do not attempt trapping yourself as you may catch the mother but you may not be able to reach the babies. If you do trap the mom and have to call a Nuisance Wildlife Control Technician to remove the babies, it will be more expensive since the babies will be spread out looking for the mom. This can take a lot of time and labor (expense) which can be avoided by hiring a Licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Technician from the start.

Good Luck,
