Subject: Bat Dung

Hi! My husband and I redid our upstairs about two years ago and FINALLY got rid of our bat problem. We haven't seen or heard of one in two years. The problem is that our attic still has bat dung in it covering boxes and the floor in spots. What is the safest way to get rid of it? Do I have to be worried about working up there to clean it up? My kids (5 AND 2) sleep upstairs, and our attic door doesn't get opened very often, but I am worried about trailing the stuff on the carpet and down the steps when I am carrying out stuff to the trash. Should I be worried, or am I overreacting? How can I clean it up safely? Many many thanks for your help.

Trish in Iowa
