For those that read this message, I was one of the Hunt dancers from yesteryear. I have kept sporadic touch with some of my fellow dancers and the teachers that taught us throughout the years. I wish the best of luck to all of the Hunt dancers in your future competitions. A big thanks to Don and Sheila for putting up with my family and I through all of those years. I truly miss the classes, feis trips, parades, and shows that we all shared. As an update: The Dohn family has been doing well in our new state of PA. I joined the Marines after H.S. and have completed my 4 year obligation. I have begun student teaching with an Irish dance school near my home and I hope to compete again before getting my T.C.R.G. I regret not living closer so that I can teach at the school that got me started. My siblings are all doing well but, unfortunately, they no longer dance. We have two Hunt school dresses with bloomers and head bands for sale. Size is around a 6-8 and a 10. My girls were 7 and 9 when they wore them. Both are in very good condition, only worn a few times. $350 each - Price is low not because of quality but because we just want to sell them. Beverly put together another OUTSTANDING show for our 2nd Annual School Dance. ALL of the girls and boy did a wonderful job dancing.
A special thanks to Sheila and the New York dancers who came down for the show ~ you always add a special flair for the Maryland families in the Hunt School!

Everyone is to meet at the East Islip Library at 1:30PM. School warm up suit with Headband should be worn. Sneakers double knotted no Dancing shoes. The parade will end at the Beach Tree Cafe corner of Irish lane and Montauk Highway and all parents should be there when we arrive to pick up the children. Not at the end of the parade. If you have any questions please contact us at the studio or by email. If anyone besides the parents are picking up the children we need to be notified at the Library.

My family had a great time at Adventureland!! It was so nice to spend the time with everyone. A few funny events- MS Running up the stairs at the Flume, MM getting Feeling back in her hand, KC & SC Getting on the broken swing, BM & AM looking at the bird house on the railroad tracks, KF so quiet sometimes forgetting you were there-Memories you do not forget!!Enjoy the time off!!

To all the parents of the Hunt School! What a great job on making our school dance a success once again!! We could never have done it with out all your help. Thank you all for volunteering your time. We made it through the transition of a new location for the dance and looking forward to next year!!
