As we close the books on yet another Hunt School Feis, I cannot begin to thank everyone enough for all of their help to make this happen. That being said, I'll try:
To our Setup team - I think we're finally getting the hang of this! Thanks to Tom and James and all the guys (and gals!)who helped Friday night to get us ready for the feis. Many thanks to the takedown crew as well.
To our Kitchen Crew, I would say - WOW...on very short notice, Denise & Co. picked up the ball and ran with it (Lu & Tom - we missed you!) And, sometimes, it's just nice to be thanked for what you do.
To my helpers at the Entry Desk - this can be a bumpy ride! But, I have to say, it went pretty well this year. Thanks for holding down the fort with me.
To our Door crew, many thanks to Harriett, Laura & Co. Ran smoothly, as usual...
To our Basket Brigade - those baskets get better and better each year! Many thanks, Maureen & Marilyn, as well as our Raffle guys.
To Tricia & the Marks team - at times, there were 5 or 6 of you working side by side to get the job done. Talk about paperwork overload! You guys did an awesome job of getting those marks out.
To Ann & our Trophies team - at the end of the day, you made many, many dancers smile - there isn't a better reward for a job well done than the look on a dancer's face when they've been handed their trophy. Thanks for all the hard work. It all worked out fine in the end, my friend.
To Alice & our Gym Stage crew - you guys have gotten this down to a science. It's a pleasure to know that everything will be OK. And to Maureen, Karen and our Prelim Gym Stage crew - You did a fantastic job of moving those many, large competitions along (and as a reward for a job well done, I'll be counting on you to do the same next year!)
To our Hospitality team - Donna, Gerri & Co.- another great job. Though, next year, I'd like to see you both in proper feis attire (t-shirts, of course!)
Great job, Sue with the Vendors (you made it very easy for us to have one stop shopping for all of our Feis needs!)
To our small, but most efficient, Security crew - though some of you wear more than one hat - Thanks John and Bruce. To Linda, Jean and the rest of the Cleanup crew - as always, you came in and got the job done.
To our Auditorium stage crew - many of our old friends came to help just because ....your presence means more to me than you know. It is so great to have you!
Many thanks to Diane, Kristine and Jim (of course) on the Tabulations/Awards team. Your hard work is most appreciated!
And to Harriett - who has more jobs than I could possible name here - I can't thank you enough for all you do.
My heartfelt thanks to all I have failed to mention here -- those people who helped behind the scenes or phone calls (Mary!) -- your contribution has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
And, lastly, many thanks to Sheila, Don, Beverly and Theresa for their love and support of our children and their commitment to this Irish heritage because in absence of that, none of us would be here.
