A--congratulations on not purging! Good and bad feelings will come and go like the wind, but a quality decision not to purge can definitely stick, no matter what. Several of the wonderful women on this board are living proof of that.

I don't want to see you hate yourself. I'd like to encourage you to try to be the kind of friend to yourself that you would be to someone you care for very much. You wouldn't hate your best friend for eating too much now and then, would you? I know I love my friends whether their weight is up or down; it doesn't change who they are inside. So give that gift to yourself; you deserve it! I know this is hard, I don't have it down myself, but it is worth trying for.
