Hi Crystal if you're still out there....just to let you know (and Chocolate as well, since you don't know of Clarocet) it's classified as an herbal supplement and all it is is a combination of other herbs ppl take for sleep aids, to help elevate overall mood, assist in general anxiety and ocd, that sort of thing. Most of the ingredients found in Clarocet are sold separately as their own remedy such as St. John's Wort, Ginseng and Valerian. The primary ingredients in Clarocet are:
5-HTP
American Ginseng
Bacopa
Kava Root
St. John's Wort
Sam-e
Valerian

Vitamin-C
Zinc
Potassium
Manganese
Magnesium
Kelp

and a few others, but these are the primes. You can get the same thing by taking any one or combination of 2 of any items from the first column along with a good multi-vitamin that contains all the ingredients plus your vitamin B complexes as the second column.

I take a daily super B complex along with Valerian and I'm generally a happy camper.

Side effects are not documented but if any should be minimal and should only be sleepiness or perhaps a little (very little) diarrhea.
