I did the cabbage soup diet
It was about a year ago
I had oatmeal in the morning, and allowed myself a protein bar (24g protein) a day but, other than that, i was only on soup...I was grouchy and irritable. Untill I started eating the protein bar..then I leveled out a bit. I didnt feel energetic, but I wasnt run down either. But I did feel more sexual after aboutthe third week or so- I think it migh have been because I was losing weight and feeling more attractive. But it could have been the Indole 3 carbinol (from the sheer amount of cruciferous vegetables in the soup) whatever the reason I did feel more "feminine" I got terrible gas though (blush) ...This is how I would describe the experience
first week- Oats and soup
low energy, grumpy, gassy, crying like a banshee..craving fats- esp. cheesecake!
Lost around 8-10 pounds!
Second week- added protein bar
Less grouchy..bit more energy, a bit moody, like PMS. Still craving fats, but still losing weight.
third week-
energy was back to normal.. WAY gassey still, fought diaharrea
loose stools, lost 19 lbs in total. bad heartburn all the time. Libido increase..yet still was blue frequently..( I think it was cause I still craved fatty foods)
diet got easier as I went along though. I went down to 86 lbs on the diet-(way too skinny)
Dawn
Hope this helps- sorry details are a bit fuzzy-it was long time ago
