Hey everybody,
It's been a while since I last posted at all. I just wanted to say that I went to a dietician today for the first time and it was a total waste of my life. All she did is talk to me for an hour and a half about starvation and the effects on the body, metabolism, being hydrated, the defination of set point, and hungar, I have never been more bored in my entire life. I guess I was more expecting her to help me with eating certain foods, tell me about how much of certain foods I shouold eat, foods I should stay away from. None of that, all the told me was everything I already knew all about. I guess I was just hoping for a lot more. I don't know/ hope all dieticians aren't like that because I feel bad for everyone else out there walking in with similiar hopes that I have and walking out feeling the same. She also made me feel very stupid, I felt very insulted. I didn't like it, not one little bit.

Now I am not saying that I would not reccommend a dietician, just not the one that I went to, but since no one else lives in Wisconsin I don't think you all have to worry about that.

Also, since winter break I have been going to a therapist, Kim. She has been very helpful and I feel comfortable talking to her and I really like her. She is helping me get to the cause of my ED.

One thing that just popped in my head was something that the dietician said that was informative, something I didn't know, she said that once I start eating more, 1500 cals, that the "numbness" I get from not eating will go away and a lot of the emotions I have hidden will shine through, she said that I would feel a lot worse, depressed and stuff, but she told me that "there is a a light on the other side"...what the heck kind of advice is that? I dunno, but on the other hand I do like kim a lot and I think that she will help me out a lot.

Are all dieticians like the one that I got stuck with?

Just thought I would update,
take care everybody
Becky
