Hi everyone, I haven't posted much, but I have been here since the Ana and Mia Talk board and have come every day to read the posts. I am not going to come back here anymore - it is very quiet, and I don't think it has the same supportive feel as it once did. Seems much more recovery oriented, which is fantastic for those who are at that stage, but does not necessarily offer similar support for those who are not seeking recovery at this time. I think what made the earlier boards so good was that there was such a diversity of situations. I must be honest in saying that the posts over the US elections and the disagreement involving myself, Catherine and Deb has also disuaded me from coming back. I found certain comments to be truly offensive, particularly those regarding the intellectual capability of a member of this board, and a statement that appears to suggest a heirachy here, that all members are not equal. To me, that does not suggest a positive, supportive environment. Given that the person who made those comments is a real presence here, I think it does demonstrate that all are not welcome, regardless of whether the post was irrelevant to the topic of this forum - I note that most people here posted on that issue, incidentally. Obviously since I didn't post much, my leaving won't make a difference, but I think you should be cautious of excluding newcomers, because without them, this forum will probably die. Thank you to all those people who responded to my posts when I needed help.
