Well, again (and no offense) but I don't appreciate someone saying that I've been on a stupid diet thing or a fad for 26 years of my life. Like the majority of people genuinely suffering from an ED, I also suffer from depression - BOTH of which are categorized by the medical and insurance communities as Mental Health Diseases and issues.

Perhaps for your mother it was just a crazy diet thing she got into her head in College and was restricting for a month then stopped. That is not by any means anorexia so for her it maybe was a crazy diet thing but she shouldn't make light of what anorexia and bulimia are and entail in a person's life and generalize everyone into her category. I was just arguing the implication I read in your message and wanted to set the record straight is all.

You need to be diagnosed because we don't know the details (how long you've been doing this, etc.) but it sure sounds like at least the beginning of bulimia. After all, I turned from anorexia to bulimia because I was tired of being hungry all the time. I thought I was the only one who discovered something new and it started with me thinking to myself, it's the greatest "diet". Until I lost control and it controlled me. That's the difference.
