I personally liked the "video" satellite picture. I didn't realize that satellites could now show video. Also, look out for those winds in excess of 15 meters. (15 meters per what??) I was incredibly disappointed to see that I have to wait until Wednesday to watch the end of the movie. CBS has definitely outdone itself this time...

My personal favorite was when the Doppler radar detected instability....

Actually, I was shocked to hear the terms "instability" and "vertical shear"

I think we need to add to a new lab to the 103 curriculum: Cold Core Hurricanes. You may remember these features freezing people in thier tracks in The Day After Tomorrow and now in Category 6, one has formed over Lake Superior.

Why is POSSIBLE weather not exciting enough?

the description on comcast of this:

Thomas Gibson, Nancy McKeon, (2004), Conclusion. The nation's chief meteorologist (Brian Dennehy) tries to get out warnings to evacuate Chicago as three massive storms converge over the city during a blackout in this clichéd disaster flick (Drama, 120 min).
