Subject: Stamps

For those of you not aware, the United States Postal Service will come out with a series of stamps involving pictures of different clouds on Monday, October 4th. From cirrostratus-induced halos, to mammatus, to Cu w/ a tornado, many scenes are covered by the 12 different stamps. If you find yourself going to a USPS office anytime soon for stamps, you may want to check them out. You may also view them at the following web site:

Yah! I saw those. I'm incredibly tempted to buy some and never use them. Also, for those of you that have AIM, you might already be aware of this. In the most recent version of AIM, you can actually put sounds with sending IM and they also can change the icon as well as the smileys to weather related objects. I was highly amused so now I've got CG for my buddy icon with thunder sounding each time I send an IM and the smileys include clouds.

And now mugs with the individual stamp photos are out!! I think they run about $10 a piece. Hmmmm, so that's $150 in mugs to go with my $100 in stamps......

When I had bought the stamps, the postal worker also mentioned that there are postcards and actual prints in multiple sizes with the same scenes as the stamps, for those that want to pay more money.
