Subject: Something different

I know we have all been looking at Ivan, which is looking to hit AL/MS in a few hours. But I was wondering, if the long range models are right, in a lot of the midwest (IL, WI, IA, MO) we might see September's mean temperature turn out warmer than August's. I was wondering, if this were to occur, would it be a first time?? I bet Tom Skilling knows

A warmer September is a safe bet in many places. I'll see what I can find out by the end of the month when we do the end of month climate stats for DBQ and MLI.
