Here's my word reply to Sandy's email *RE: public art exericise (ÅÊ¡CÄá¼v ²Õ)*, please response if anyone could tell/ answer my questions! THANK YOU!
Dear All,
As KwokChi want us reply his set of artwork and held an exhibition as the ending of the story. We've develope a plan after session on last sunday in YMCA, His artworks and the story will set as the core theme of the exhibition. He will tell us the story soon and using our after thought and feeling from the story to create own artwork in different format or so... as reply, also build-up a place(like a little world of KwokChi with the story and his artwork) and show in public, finally we'll help him to finish the last part of the exhibition - large painting. For details we want to discuss with all teammates on the coming session. So far KwokChi want to end-up his story ASAP.
On the other hand, I'm not exactly understand, what is the practice, experiment... on public art. Or what is the exactly thing we need to do before we're going with Luke? Can you tell me more about this? Because some teammates did not came on last session, so we need contact them at once, let them know what was happening? And finalize is that we don't have any exactly rules or format on the public art performance? Because the last session I'm so confused and can't figure out what we need to do, I think we've just discuss/ share our personal imagination of Public art, lack of Public Art information. We can just found the pictures, but what do they mean? why they can put into Public Art category? I've done the research too, but finally I found out there're no specification on it. In addition, different country have their own rules, there're so many exceptions on it, right? As HungFei said the poster you can found in everywhere... they're commercial, but the included the message too, is that Public Art too? So how to define what is public art? Could anyone tell us directly? At least we would know THIS IS/ THIS IS NOT. So that won't get lost on the public art program and lead by another team to create our artwork. This is my after thought of last session. Please kindly advise!
Thanks a lot!!
Have a nice day and Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!
Guen
