There is a bill that's being passed through and what the supporters are doing is trying to get the bill passed faster, so that some couples can take advantage of it and get 'married' before the commonwealth/federal government revokes it from law. So there is going to be a bigger gap for people to marry before the law/civil union part gets scrapped!

I can see how the loophole would help the gay couples that want to get married...touchy subject! Obviously J. Howard is very against it!!!
