I would definately recommend doing it! The good things about it are that doing it makes you more employable because it shows you're capable of manageing and researching for a big project all on your little lonesome. I'm not sure if all employers have to do this, but the government at least has to pay you more if you've done honours :) And on the whole "personal journey" side of of it, it is very stressfull, but really all you need to do is stick to a timetable and you'll be fine. After all they don't try to make you do the impossible or anything.

Actually, it's really good that you've just asked this question, because if you'd asked me last week I might have said "run!" BUT yesterday I started writing my first chapter (!!!) and it is very very satisfying! After all those hours of research to now have something tangible that you can be proud of is so good!

So do it!!

Yes, birthday time! Yay! I'm pretty busy too, we have a conference to go to with these visiting archaeologists and some lectures from them all around my birthday. Grr. But mum and dad said they'd come up to Melbourne and take me out to dinner, and I've been thinking about having a dinner with my friends here. Not sure if I can be bothered organising it though... We'll see! Are you going to do anything Si?? I heard you guys had a nice birthday dinner for you all in Darwin and ran into Izzy actually having her real birthday dinner! I wish I could have been there! Someday we'll have another BIG reunion!
