Subject: Gay Americans

Okay I just did a rant about this on Xanga but I thought I would put it on here anyways.

NBC (the tv station that is responsible for broadcasting the Olympic Games in America) are trying to turn the swimming schedule upside down during the Beijing 2008 Olympics for the benefit of their television network. The International Olympic Committee is considering a request from NBC for the swimming finals to be switched from the evening to the morning to allow the network to run them live in prime time during the Beijing Games.

If they are successful, that means the finals would be held while Australians and Asians are at work during the day and the British would be asleep. The decision should be left to the organizers of the Beijing Games and not the Americans. They should only be allowed to choose when they hold the games and not dictate when others hold it.

This pisses me off cause they are turning all this into a money making scheme and even some of the Australian swimmers are not happy about it. They should not be allowed to do this. One of the beauties of having the games in Beijing is that they are on the same time zone as Perth and not that far from the other capital cities of Australia so that means we get to watch the swimming finals during our prime time instead of having to watch the replays to find out the outcome. Or worse, hear it on the news first before they actually show us the replays. That just kills the excitement when you find out who wins before you get to watch it.

We won’t be able to find out the outcome for a while yet. Hopefully they won’t succeed. Stupid Americans want everything done their way. SHAZZY NOT HAPPY!!!!
