I hate it when that happens!!! On a more significant scale (for me) THIS YEAR Colin is going "oh now we aren't taking students on the dig unless they're postgrad". He's trying to get two of us (ONLY TWO!) in as ceramicists on the American teams site, which I'm pretty sure is in the same oasis, but we'd be staying in different accommodation. With Americans. As ceramicists. For six weeks. 6.30am-5.00 every day. Big danger it'll be one of us girls and CAMERON too. Though there'll have to be a selection process and seeing as he's finishing of his law degree next year I'm figuring he doesn;t have as good a chance as the rest of us... still.
