] Date Posted: 18:09:59 08/31/10 Tue The 2010 Miss Goldrush Pageant will be held on Friday, September 10th at the Villa Rica Civic Center & Sports Complex (V-Plex) 1605 Highway 61 Villa Rica, GA 30180 678-840-5959 All new awards for this event, black/white/gold for this years colors. We will be having a pre festival pageant theme. We will be serving hot dogs, treats, drinks, chips and such, so plan to have an evening of pageants and fun. Please R.S.V.P. the number of people you expect to attend when you receive your reminder email tomorrow. If you do not receive this email, please contact me as we may not have your form in hand. There is a $5 admission fee for all with exception of contestants, infants and toddlers. Please label your photo with the contestants name and age on the back, turn these in the day of the pageant and they are returned to you after the competition. One photo submission per contestant, $5 each additional. Our winners (both last year and this year) are invited to attend the Saturday events with our program.We will be in the parade, then out to watch the great entertainment of the festival at the ampitheater. Plan to stay and have a great family outing. We will be participating in the parade with a large truck and float this year. We will allow one adult per children under to ride with their queen/king, if your child is 4 and up, you may walk along with the float, wearing anything black/white/gold, this will be our colors for this event. If you would like to have your own car, they have informed me there is a $20 per car additional fee, if you would like to do this, please contact me and I can get you in touch with the city of Villa Rica. In years past, there was not the additional fee per car? We have also been invited to attend the "taste of Villa Rica" by the city to be introduced on their new outdoor ampitheater stage! Our 2011 pageant will also be held on this main stage during the festival (the day of and immediately following the parade) This years winners will be invited to attend the 2011 parade and help crown your successor at the all new facility and event. Details on both will be given the day of the pageant. We will also be attending the Goldrush Museum as a group, changing the time to November/February (depending on groups availability) due to it being to hot on our last visit to the museum!! more details to follow on that as well.
