Also try to get her to just walk on her toes, thinking about "up, up, up" as she walks. Picture there is a string attached to her head, and it is pulling her whole body upwards. If she practices walking around on her toes (think up), then she will get into a habit of it, and it will come without her thinking about it (after a while of course). I found this helped me!! It will also improve posture because you are imagining your WHOLE body (from the feet to the head) being pulled up. Hope that helps a little bit; you are from North America are you not? I could tell because your names for levels are different. I am also from Canada, but am thinking of coming to Australia on an exchange, so want to meet some new people!! Good luck to your daughter, and tell her that I know exactly what she feels like with everyone else moving up, but her staying behind. That happened to me because I started late, but now (after a TON TON TON of hard work) I am in their level. When we do shows, I have the beginners dress (even thogh I am not in beginner) and they all have the novice dress (which I am FINALLY getting made); I felt really dumb because I couldn't do their figure dances because I didn't have their dress. I just kept dancing, realizing that dancing is more important than what you are wearing. Now I am finally getting the novice dress made, and my dancing has improved SO much from when I started. Practice is the key, but also believing in yourself when no one else will! Best of luck, and I know she will do great!
