....Much discussion on plot , but is anybody catching the theme ,,and surrealism and metaphor of the show?..Example, the theme of Trapped was imho, how we use words to dance around the Truth..or how we use words to deceive ourselves.
The Scrabble game of made up words parralled the obfuscation between Ed and Carol. They danced around the Truth, ( recall the opening scene ?) and Carol said the Ed was always on her mind and Ed said he'd go to any extreme for her..BUT Neither would say the 3 Little words that is the plain truth. The second season started with a show about a con man. IMHO every show since has been about the different ways we deceive ourselves....what say?............MEL
