He woke when the baby came back in and within moments he standing and gathering the sleeping boy into his arms. Stretching out on the couch, he tucked the baby in the crook of his arm, safely tucked against the back of the couch. He spent a good few minutes just watching him sleep, noting how red and wrinkly he was. He was adorable, beautiful and perfect in every way. His heart melted just a touch as he sighed and before long he was asleep again, holding the baby in his arms. He didn't wake again until Ryan started fussing some hour later. Unable to soothe him, he decided he must be hungry and carefully crossed over to Gia's bed. One hand ran down her cheek to wake her up before he murmured. "He's hungry..." He stated, helping her get her gown undone and tucking the boy up against her breast. She was half asleep still and looked so soft and maternal that he felt his breath hitch again. They had gone through a lot to get to this moment and he thanked god that they had fought through it all. Everything seemed so...insignificant compared to this. Compared to their little boy, their little family. It broke his heart to think of her going through this alone, of him not being there because of his stubborness, because of his bitter pain. For the moment it was easy to push aside all the hard feelings and just focus on the pair of them....
