As a holder of multiple certifications as a personal trainer and former bodybuilder (hopefully to come back soon) I was wondering what you all do to train your legs.
You know Hebrews 12:12 says to "Strengthen your feeble arms and weak legs" so I do want to be obedient to the Lord's calling for my strength and fitness.
Give me some ideas of what you all do to get your legs in shape.
I have a new one that I am doing since I do have to protect me back. I call it Stablized Single Squats.
Here is how it works.
I take one dumbbell and hold it on the inside of my leg, the leg I am putting the stress on. Now this kind of looks like a side lunge to some degree as the opposite leg will look like you are lunging but my suggestion here is just to get it into a position where it feels comfortable.
You will also need to be inside a squat rack or some place you can hold onto. Now with the opposite hand, hold your self stable while you squat on the leg you want to train. Remember, if you are squatting with the left leg, you will be holding the DB with the left hand. Focus on intensity and not so much weight. This will give you a great full range motion to train the leg with, without stressing the low back and prevent further injuries; especially if you have a low back issue.
