Here is your prayer assignment.

In starting this weekly prayer group out I don�t want to give you some overwhelming prayer list. I just want us to pray together in the simplest of terms without any burden.

What I am going to give you today is a prayer that I would like for you to pray out loud to God. It will take all of about 5 minutes to read. Then when you have read it, stop and allow the Holy Spirit to begin to lead you further into prayer. He may or may not do that, so don�t beat yourself up if you don�t have anything further to pray other than this prayer. The important thing is that we are praying together or at least together in a particular block of time. I believe God will honor that and it is my prayer that He will move upon your life in ways you cannot imagine simply because of your obedience.

So here is the prayer. Remember, do this to the Lord and no one else. And also, please remember as you pray, pray for President Bush and his counsel, the military and civilian leaders and all of our men and women in harms way and those about to go.

God bless each of you for joining me in this. Hopefully, and prayerfully, we will reach out in an all out prayer assault on our communities and pray for revival in the near future.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray and confess that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon me and my family�.the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, and the Spirit of knowledge. You have called me to be a powerful force in my world. Father, I come to you now, choosing to believe that Your Word is more powerful than any natural circumstance I face. Therefore, I resist by faith with the Word of God any bad report or action or injustice done to me. I plead the blood of Jesus over all my business affairs and say that Your grace is more than enough for me against any danger or problem, and that the strength and power of Jesus Christ will pitch a tent and dwell over me and mine.

Father, by faith I am well pleased and I take pleasure in whatever insults, persecutions, or distresses may come against me, because Your Word promises me that You will make me strong. You have promised that You will never leave or abandon me, and that You will uphold me with the right hand of Your righteousness.

Lord I thank You that You have empowered me to prosper and that I give cheerfully of my resources to build Your kingdom. Therefore, Your Word assures me according to 2 Corinthians verse 9 that You are able to make all grace (every FAVOR and earthly blessing) come to me in abundance. I know that You will never abandon me and under all circumstances and whatever the need, by Your power, I will possess enough to require no aide or support. Your Word assures me that I will be furnished in abundance for every good work.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I refuse to be moved by what I see in the natural and call those things that be not as though they were. I thank you Lord that Isaiah 54:17 says that �No weapon formed against me or my family will prosper and that every tongue that shall rise against me in judgement, You will condemn.�

I give thanks to you Lord that I am not weak in faith but strong! I resist unbelief and distrust; I do not waiver in believing every promise Your Word gives me, and I thank you and give You praise right now for the victory in every area of my life.

You can pray this prayer everyday if you like. I have found it brings me peace, comfort and encouragement while empowering me with the precious Holy Spirit.
