Subject: Destiny Part 4

Here is Part 4 of Destiny.

Part 4

The Kiriakis Mansion
Salem, USA

Austin was pacing at the front of the altar. He turned to Eric. "She’s been talking to him for awhile now. I’m going to
go in there and find out what’s going on." He grabbed Austin’s arm. "Austin, you can’t go in there. Stay here. I’ll go
find out what’s going on." The crowd was loudly murmuring to themselves. Eric turned to the crowd. "Everyone, can I
have your attention? I’m going to go get Sami and find out what’s going on." Eric ran into the house and started
looking around for Sami.

‘This is strange, she had pulled him right here into the living room,’ Eric thought. His eyes widened as he got a thought.
"Oh no, Brandon must have taken her somewhere." Quickly he ran to the front door to see if he could stop them. As
he looked out the door he spotted Brandon’s car as it was speeding away from the mansion. Eric sighed. "What am I
going to tell Austin?"

Kaitlin’s mind was still fixated on the voice she had just heard. ‘If only I could have gotten a glimpse of his face,’ she
thought. Carrie looked at her watch and then turned to Kaitlin. "Sami’s been gone for awhile now." Kaitlin snapped
out of her thoughts and looked at Carrie. Just at that moment Colleen decided it was time to let everyone know that
she had arrived. Faces turned as they heard the cries of the little child. Both Kaitlin and Carrie instinctively tried to
hush her.

Marlena had turned to figure out where they crying was from and was the first to notice that Carrie was at the
wedding. "Carrie?" she said aloud. The crowd shifted to where Marlena was looking. Carrie stood up as Kaitlin
worked on calming Colleen down. "Hi Marlena." Carrie replied. Marlena smiled as the ran to greet her step-daughter.


Mike Horton had been sitting with his mother when he heard Marlena say her name. His eyes followed Marlena as
she ran to hug none other than, Carrie Brady. "Carrie," Mike stated softly. He couldn’t believe it. She was here! She
actually came to the wedding!

"Who’s this little bundle of joy?" Marlena asked Kaitlin. Kaitlin turned nervously to Carrie. Carrie began to speak
when Eric ran back into the garden.

"She’s gone. Brandon must have taken her somewhere. I looked everywhere. I’m sorry Austin." Eric explained. A
hush fell over the crowd. Austin looked helplessly at Eric. "Are you sure? You tried everywhere?" Eric nodded.
Austin turned to the priest. "Well I guess you can go now, there won’t be a wedding today." With that, Austin left the
aisle. ‘Poor Austin,’ Greta thought. Greta set down her bouquet and ran after Austin.

Eric watched as Greta followed Austin. ‘I need to talk to her,’ he thought. He couldn’t stand the coldness he was
receiving from her.

Kaitlin turned to Carrie and whispered, "I’m going to go inside and change Colleen’s diaper." Carrie nodded. Kaitlin
managed to slip away before anyone noticed.

Everyone began to gather around Carrie now that the wedding was not to be. Marlena smiled at Carrie. "It’s so good
to see you, Carrie." Carrie smiled back. "It’s good to see all of you too." Hope and Jennifer were the next to greet
Carrie. Mike watched the scene that was unfolding before him. ‘I need to talk to her,’ he thought. ‘But she’s busy
right now.’ He walked into the mansion.

Kaitlin finished changing Colleen’s diaper. "There you go Miss Colleen. All nice and dry." Colleen smiled and giggled.
"Well at least you’re not crying anymore." Kaitlin said. She picked up Colleen and walked out of the bathroom and
almost ran into Jonathan.

"I’m so sorry! I should have looked before…" Kaitlin’s eyes met Jonathan’s. Her eyes widened. "It’s you." She
stated. Jonathan looked at the woman before him. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. "Kaitlin?" he responded
softly. Kaitlin nodded and smiled. ‘It really is him!’ she thought. "When I heard your voice, I thought it was you but I
didn’t think it was possible." Kaitlin stated. Jonathan smiled. "I didn’t think I’d end up here either. How are you?" He
asked. Then he looked at Colleen who smiled and giggled at him. "Hey there," he said to the child. He looked up at
Kaitlin. "Is she yours?"

Kaitlin looked at him in shock. "No!" she exclaimed, a little too affirmatively. "No, she’s not mine."

Jonathan smiled with relief. "What are you doing here in Salem?" he asked. "Well I’m here with a friend, Carrie
Brady. This little girl is hers. And if I’m correct, her family is discovering this information as we speak so I should
probably go back to Carrie." Kaitlin explained. "I’ll go with you." Jonathan replied. ‘I’m not going to let her go this
time,’ Jonathan thought.

Mike walked back outside to discover that Carrie still had tons of people swarming around her. He walked over to
Jennifer. Jennifer saw her brother and grabbed his arm. "What are you doing? Go talk to her!" she exclaimed. Mike
looked at her. "I’m trying! There’s too many people around."

Just then Kaitlin walked in with Colleen and Jonathan. Carrie saw Kaitlin and excused herself from the crowd. "I’m so
sorry about that Kaitlin." Kaitlin smiled. "It’s okay, today has been crazy enough so far." Carrie took Colleen from
Kaitlin. Then she noticed Jonathan. Kaitlin noticed this. "I’m sorry, Carrie this is Jonathan. Jonathan, this is Carrie.
Jonathan and I went to college together." Kaitlin explained. "Nice to meet you." Carrie stated as she shook Jonathan’s
hand. "Same here." Jonathan replied.

Mike saw that Carrie was finally away from the crowd. He nervously made his way over to where she was. Kaitlin
saw him coming toward them and smiled at him. Mike stood behind Carrie and paused. His mind then screamed at
him to say something so he cleared his throat. "Hi Carrie," he managed to get out. Carrie turned around and found
herself face to face with Mike Horton. "Mike." Carrie said softly. Kaitlin saw this as an opportunity to leave but
before she had the chance to leave Marlena Evans-Black and a bunch of other people from the wedding joined the
little group of people.

Carrie was still in shock at the sight she saw before her. She couldn’t believe that Mike was actually here. Before she
could even talk to him she was surrounded, yet again, by more people. Marlena looked at Carrie and smiled and said.
"You didn’t introduce us to your friend." Carrie turned away from Mike and looked at Kaitlin. Kaitlin shrugged her
shoulders as if to say, ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t get them away.’ Carrie smiled. "Everyone, this is my good friend Kaitlin
Mattingly. She lives in my apartment building." Marlena smiled and shook Kaitlin’s hand. "It’s nice to meet you." She
looked at Carrie who was holding Colleen. Eric walked up behind Carrie and put his hand on her shoulder. "Your
child is beautiful. What’s her name?" Marlena asked. Kaitlin opened her mouth to correct her but Carrie shook her
head at her.

Carrie looked at the intrigued family members and friends gathered around her. she knew she could not let this go any
longer. Eric gave her a comforting squeeze on the shoulder. "Her name is Colleen Grace…Brady." She finished.
Mike’s face dropped. ‘Carrie has a child?" Needless to say, everyone was in shock. Marlena stared at Carrie.
"This…this is your child?" Carrie nodded.

"How could you keep this from us?" Roman intervened. "You’re our daughter, did you think that we wouldn’t care
about the birth of you own child?" Carrie fought back tears as Eric put his arm around her. Marlena looked at Eric.
"You knew?" She sputtered angrily. "Mom, calm down. I only found out last night. I’m as much in the dark about this
as you are." John comforted Marlena as she dealt with the news. This was becoming a little too much for Carrie.

"Look, I came back to Salem to attend Sami’s wedding and introduce you to my daughter. I’m sorry I kept her a
secret from you. But I had to do it for reasons that I cannot explain to you right now. I ask you to accept that. Right
now, Austin is in there dealing with the fact that Sami has just run off with Brandon. I think it would be best if we all
left for the time being." With that Carrie turned to Kaitlin and motioned for her to join her. Eric, Jonathan and Mike
followed them into the house. The crowd outside decided not to listen to Carrie and stood around outside for awhile
discussing what had just taken place.

Kaitlin looked at Carrie. "Man, I had no idea your family would be so tough on you." Carrie smiled. "Come on, let’s
go." Carrie replied. "Wait." A male voice called out. Carrie knew that voice, it was Mike. Carrie turned around and
looked at him. "I think we need to talk." Mike managed to get out. Eric looked at Kaitlin and Jonathan and motioned
them to leave the room. Kaitlin took Colleen from Carrie and left Mike and Carrie alone.
