Author: Mr Chairman
Subject: hasty decisions

The commitee have decided to revue the decision to cut Pete Smith
There were 2 main points raised as follows;
1.are we going to play our society as per the rules of golf and the English Amateur Golf Union (EGU)or are we going to change those rules to suit our society?
2.If we are going to penalize a 'missed'putt at the last hole how are we to police this in the future? Who will decide if indeed Wayne purposely missed the putt to lose the Cyder Cup?

In reaching our decision to re-instate Smithy's handicap we decided that we have to use the (EGU) rules of golf as the basis for this society to play,to deviate from this would eventually lead to more 'decisions by commitee'which potentially could undermine the integrity of our society
