Subject: Hcp Cut, Portugal


If people are genuinely upset about the missing cuts from Thornbury then i suggest you grow a pair and put your name on here instead of using an alias.

Persoanlly i think it was a Society event and as there were more than 8 players and prizes it felt every bit like a society event so there should be cuts, no question.

However, if it was stated by the Chairman before we all tee'd off that this was not a society event in terms of cut's and Order of Merit points then really it's down to the Chairman/Committee to decide otherwise if they see fit to do so.

I don't remember any such announcement from the Chairman so I too am a little surprised that nobody has received a revised Hcp for Portugal as this would seem fair to all and level the playing field for the season opener in a few days time.

Hopefully the chairman will see it from the fairest perspective and sanction the hcp cuts and increases as per Thornbury's results, it is the fairest thing to do regardless of how it leaves the Chairmans hcp for Portugal.

Lastly, i don't think Egger should be cut 4.5, 3.5 would suffice as we really don't need the extra 1 shot cut for winning now that we are all roughly off what we should be and i understand it buggers up the software scoring too.
