Subject: Need a hint

How do I find the pattern to draw on the Sphynx's leg with the yellow crayon. I have been to a statue in the Mars face with a pattern on it, but when I use that pattern on the Sphynx's leg in Cairo nothing happens, and Zak says it didn't work.

The walkthrough mentions a pattern drawn on a picture of a Sphynx in a map room, but I don't know where any map room is on Mars, all I can find is the pattern drawn on the statue in the large room with statues in the Mars face.

What am I doing wrong or missing out?
