Singer Faith Cuneta hopes to make peace with Regine

Singer Faith Cuneta hopes she will be able to make peace
with songbird Regine Velasquez anytime soon.
After months of being embroiled in the controversy involving
Regine's alleged snobbing of her during a production number
on "SOP," and with rumors of her being banned from GMA shows
where the songbird is a part of because of it, the young singer
now hopes they can put all of those behind them.
"Hindi ko naman po talaga alam kung bakit naging ganito yung
intriga sa amin ni Ms. Regine. Wala po akong kinalaman doon.
Kaya nakakalungkot lang isipin na nagalit siya," she told us
in an interview last Thursday.
Faith said she understands Regine's position. "Naiintindihan ko
naman po kung mairita siya kasi ang lumalabas nga kapag palagi
siyang tinatanong tungkol sa akin, may nangggagamit. Siyempre po,
sino ba naman ako kumpara kay Ms. Regine. Talaga naman pong
nakakairita na sabihing naiinsecure siya sa isang tulad ko.
But I'd like to really make it clear with everybody that that
we didn't make up any intrigue. Kaya nagulat ako at nalungkot
nung makita ko siya sa TV."
The singer who popularized the song "Pag-ibig Ko'y Pansinin"
being the theme song of popular Korea-novela "Stairway To Heaven"
added, "I'll make sure that I will approach Ms. Regine next
time I see her. I will appeal to her to put everything behind
us. Sana makalimutan na niya ang mga nangyari," she said.
Although there are rumors that the GMA ban on her will be lifted
next month, it is not far-fetched that Faith and Regine's paths
might cross again, with Faith now promoting her series of shows
billed "One: World Tour" at the Music Museum on Sept. 15, 22, 23
and 24, along with former Wiseguys member Juaquin.
The concert, which will also be staged in Singapore, Hong Kong and
Japan in October, November and December, respectively, will also be
brought to the US next year. The Music Museum shows has Louie Ocampo
for its musical director, while stage direction is by
Rowell Santiago.
Faith is also promoting her self-titled debut album under XAX Music
with the carrier single "Love Me Again" originally sung by Lani Hall.
