Looks like Biy Abunda and other Regine detractors are not
going to quit pushing to the false Regine-Ogie rumors. So
it may be time for Regine's supporters to consider teaching
that media octopus a few new lessons. -mmJun

Ogie Alcasid just returned from visiting his wife Michelle and two
daughters in Sydney, Australia. His daughter Leila, who’s in grade
3, joined a musical show in her school, the St. Paul’s Catholic
School, so he went there to do the minus one for her. "I only stayed
there for five days to watch her perform and I’m so proud that she’s
turning out to be a good singer," he says. "May pinagmanahan."
We thought his family would be coming over this year for a
vacation? "Next year na lang kasi I’m turning 40 years old in 2007
and I want them to be with me as I celebrate my 20th year in
showbiz. Ako naman, sanay ng pabalik-balik doon dahil seven hours
lang ang trip."
Ogie has three regular shows: "Bubble Gang," "SOP" and "Ay Robot."
His businesses are also thriving. His hotdog stalls now have nine
branches all over Manila and his Bubble Gang Toppings (with his
Bubble Gang co-stars as his associates) is celebrating its first
anniversary and they want to put up another outlet. It’s in this
restaurant that he discovered the band called Mom’s Cake who he’d
launch in a recording company that he’s putting up with Regine
Velasquez as his associate.
Isn’t he afraid that this will only fan the rumors linking him to
Regine? Recently, a blind item obviously referring to them as being
sweet while doing shows abroad appeared in some gossip columns.

NOTE: The Music Inside Buzz already heard that false item
that also came out in the Manila Bulletin. When it comes out
in that newspaper then music fans should automatically con-
sider the rumors as false and untrue. Because from the Mla
Bulletin lately they have mostly been untrue about so many

"Ang dami ngang nagtatanong sa’min, kayo ba ‘to?" he shrugs. "What
can I do? Kahit dine-deny namin, sige pa rin sila. Si Rico Puno nga,
harap-harapan kami kung biruin sa shows namin sa US. People ask
kundi ako napipikon. But I’ve learned to accept na it’s part of the
territory. I’m just glad my wife Michelle is an extraordinary woman
who trusts me."
Ogie remains in demand as a concert artist. On July 29, Saturday,
he’ll do a back-to-back concert with Pops Fernandez at the Dusit
Hotel Makati, with Gladys Guevarra and Ritchie Paul Gutierrez as
their guests, directed by Al Quinn. The dinner will be at 7:30 p.m.
and showtime at 9 PM, with Dr. Manny and Pie Calayan, Bench, GMA-7,
Play& Display and Onecard as sponsors. He has also renewed his
contract as M.Lhuillier endorser and they will produce his birthday
concert, "Komikonsyerto," at the Aliw Theater on August 5, later to
be staged in Cebu, Davao, Pampanga, Iloilo and Bacolod. His special
guests are his "Bubble Gang" co-stars, Michael V, Wendell Ramos,
Francine Prieto and Ruffa Mae Quinto, plus FPJ’s daughter, Lovi.
Ogie himself will direct this concert. For tickets, call Ticketworld

On his actual birthday on August 27, Ogie will be in London to do
his "Forever After" concert with Regine Velasquez and Ai Ai de las
Alas at the Wembley Arena. "Gusto raw manood ni Prince Charles at ni
Prince William ng show namin, pero soldout na," he jokes.
Ogie’s also busy promoting his new single, "Di Ko Na Kayang Masaktan
Pa," from his album, "Lumilipad." This is a duet with Regine and
they really look so romantic in its music video.
