Ogie-Regine pag-asa ng talented new artists
KINAKITAAN ni Ogie Alcasid si Dennis Trillo ng potential to be a recording artist noong napanood niya itong kumanta sa "SIS" at tumugtog ng drums sa "SOP Rules!" Nagtilian ang audience sa studio at nasa-bi niya sa sarili: "Me-ron ‘to. Musician-drummer at nakita ko sa kanya ang passion sa music," ani Ogie.
Kaya nang itatag nila ni Regine Velas-quez ang Indimusic, si Dennis ang naisip nilang kunin para maging unang recording artist. Si Regine ang bahala sa concept ng album at sa arrangement ng mga kantang ipapa-loob dito, ayon kay Ogie, samantalang magko-compose naman siya ng mga kanta for Dennis.
Iri-release rin ng Indimusic ang debut album ng Mum’s Cake band na si Ogie ang naka-discover. Pero bago ‘yon, first project ng music company nila ni Regine ay ang soundtrack album ng "Till I Met You" mula sa pelikulang gina-gawa ngayon ni Regine with Robin Padilla under GMA Films. Kasama rito ang "Sana’y Mala-man Mo" ni Ogie, "Alipin" ng Shamrock, "Di Na Nag-iisa" ni Regine na theme song ng "Darna" at may duet din sina Regine at Robin.
Ayon kay Ogie, layunin ng Indimusic ang mag-develop ng mga talented new artists na hindi nabibigyan ng pagkakataon. "I want this company to grow and hopefully, ma-recognize someday as one of the biggest recording companies. We love creating music and we’ll do our best," said Ogie na by the way ay magkakaroon ng pre-birthday concert on Aug. 5 sa Aliw Theater.
Billed "Komikon-siyerto," joining him are Rufa Mae Quinto, Wendell Ramos, Michael V., Francine Prieto, Lovi and the Maneouvers. Si Archie Castillo ang musical director and Ogie himself will direct the show, produced by Mlhuillier.
On August 27, mag-kasama naman sila ni Regine sa Wembley Arena in London para sa "Foreverafter" concert with Ai Ai delas Alas.
Brand-new album
More than happy si Gary Valenciano na ang kanta niyang "In Another Lifetime" from his "Relevance" album under Universal Re-cords ang napiling movie theme song ng "Eternity." Aniya, even before he recorded that song, he had a strong feeling na magiging movie theme song ito. True enough, bagay na bagay ang lyrics ng kanta sa istorya ng movie ng Regal Entertainment starring Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado. It’s about reincarnation.
Nadagdag pa sa hap-piness ni Gary na certified gold na ang kanyang "Relevance" album and is fast moving to platinum. In his birthday celebration sa ASAP on Sunday, ipag-kakaloob sa kanya ang Gold Record Award at may special production number si Gary with his three children, Paolo, Gabriel and Kiana.
Mag-du-duet sila ni Paolo ng "Wait Forever," "Shake It Off" with Gabriel and "Sana Maulit Muli" with Kiana. The first two songs are cuts from "Relevance."
Idinagdag din sa album ang kinanta ni Gary sa PBB Teen Edition at may bonus na AVCD ng new single, "When I Hear You Call" and its minus one at music video ng "Wait Forever" and its minus one.
Sa MTV Pilipinas Video Music Awards on Aug. 14, nominated sa six categories ang kanta ni Gary na "Break Me" from his album "Soulful." Favorite Male Artist, Video of the Year, Best Editing in a Video, Best Cinematography, Favorite Pop Video and Best Director for Jeff Tan.
Magkakaroon din si Gary ng seven-night concert series sa Music Museum for his showbiz anniversary. Aptly titled "Gary V @ 23," this will be on August 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, September 1 and 8 at 8 p.m. Joining him are his son Gabriel with special guest dancers, at mara-ming pang surprise guests. May ipapaki-tang music videos ni Gary directed by Paul Soriano (son of Jeric Soriano na anak ng yumaong aktor Nestor de Villa) with guests Regine Velasquez and his daughter Kiana.
