] Date Posted: 14:25:34 11/21/04 Sun The season 2004 is over, it was a hell of a year. But I must admit I do not like the new system. After the result even less, because Bush is champion ;( I do not like it. Everybody might won for me, but not Bush. Kasey's rookie season is over, up to next year and hoping for a win for 'our' Kasey!!! Greetz Nathalie Belgium, Europe [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 23:24:11 11/21/04 Sun Reflecting on this season is kind of a difficult thing for me to do. It has been dissappointing to say the least. All of the drivers that I really like seem to have had the worst luck this year. All three just barely fell short of the "Chase" and were duking it out for that 11th spot. Fortunately Jamie did manage to pull it off, but he is my 3rd favorite (behind Dale Jarrett and Kasey). I would have rather seen DJ or Kasey get that spot, but beggers can't be choosers I guess. All three drivers had so many "almost wins" but fell short due to bad luck. Kasey with his wrecks, DJ with a couple of blown engines (and running out of gas today), and Jamie just seemed to run out of laps. So here is hoping that next year, lady luck will smile on my three boys! LOL! It will make for a much better year for me. My one bright spot is that Kurt won the championship. I know that Nathalie doesn't like him, but for some reason I do. Maybe I was pulling for him to win cause I figured he was the only one with a chance to beat Johnson, Gordon, and Jr. (since I can't stand any of them) LOL. But he pulled it off and after the way he drove today I feel that he proved he deserved it. He is a very talented young man and I'm sure we'll see more championships in his future. So YAY for Kurt! To Kasey, DJ, and Jamie: I will always love them, no matter what! They proved that they are all on the right track, and I'll be interested to see what next year holds for them. I think we'll see all three of them in the thick of the "chase". There are great things to come! Keep up the good work boys! GO #88! GO #9! GO #42! Woo Hoo! You survived the season! Can't wait till next year. Kristen K. Georgia |

Date Posted: 07:49:00 11/22/04 Mon I'm just so sad that it's all over. I wanted Kasey to do better in the Busch and Cup race. It's not his fault where he finished. I know he'll do even better next year and I can't wait to root him on to much deserved victories. What was up with all the tire problems at Homestead? Either Goodyear tires have really gone downhill or the crew cheifs were running too much camber on the cars. I'm so proud of Kasey winning his second truck race. He is the only driver to win his 2 first truck races. Way to go, Kasey!!! I saw for myself where Ray Evernham said that they were calling Kasey "Skippy" due to him hitting the wall at Darlington so many times. Kasey was on Trackside and he was asked about being called "Skippy" and he seemed to take it well. He admitted that he hit the wall way too many times and about tore the right side of the car off. I don't think it'll be a nickname that will stick. I think they were just teasing him about Darlington. I still think it's too funny! LOL!!! I really wanted Mark Martin to win even though I knew it was a long shot. I'm not a big fan of Kurt Busch either. I don't really have a reason. I guess his speech pattern sort of gets on my nerves. I know that's awful to say and no excuse for not liking him. I will admit that he deserved to win. His team really hung there and battled back from unfortunate circumstances. Hey, Kirsten, I thought DJ did an excellent job emceeing the Busch race! I hated to see him run out of fuel there at the end of the cup race, but I believe he still finished in the top 10, didn't he? There were so many cautions that the race is sort of a blur to me. LOL! Well, that's all for now. I'd like to still chat during the off season, so I hope ya'll do too. Melissa Texas |

LOL! I totally missed the Busch race! Someone told me it was on NBC this week and I didn't even know it! I could have watched it! But since I didn't know, I was doing homework! Urgh! I would have so loved to hear DJ! I love to listen to him talk. He has the greatest accent! As for where he finished Sunday, alas he crossed the line in 28th! After being in 3rd! If Newman hadn't hit the wall he would have had enough gas to make it and probably would have pulled out a top 5 finish! POO on gas tanks! LOL! > >Well, that's all for now. I'm planning to spend the off season making improvements to the board and trying to recruit new posters so that we can make this the best Kasey board around! =0) I wish I had gotten the idea to do this sooner instead of a few weeks before the end! LOL! Kristen K. Georgia |
