Her feet were beginning to hurt, most likely from thrush and she barely lipped her food which a groom have offered her. Her water was dirty and the picky mare refused to drink it. Her coat was covered in dirt and the mane and tail were filled with knots... She whickered gently again, hoping someone would help.
