That was all it took, she was defeated - he had accomplished what he'd unconciously set out to do - to hurt her, he supposed, the way that she'd seemed intent on hurting him since the beginning. He wasn't cruel by nature, but he was tired of feeling bad about the whole situation. "I'll call you tomorrow."
