Poor field care and handling.
It was a cape that I ordered for a repro mount. When I got it it was poorly skinned around the eyes and pre orbit and lower jaw had cuts in it from skinning. The mount smelled a little bad but I put it right to tan in krowtann hoping it would get it in time. All the other hair seems ok and is not slipping but the ears were messed up and needed a lot of handling and I lost most of it.
Oh well, live and learn I guess.
I heard somewhere that you can put a bead of epoxy or super glue after the mount dries where the hair would be and then attach cotton balls to the glue, After it dries pulle the cotton balls out leaving only what the glue holds in place and it looks like fine white hair.
Whadda ya think?
