Subject: Oil paints for airbrush?

I have tried oil paints and airbrushing for deer eyes, and i haven't been happy with the airbrush. I was just wondering which method other people use for deer eyes. I only ask now because a friend of mine who is also new always has soft looking eyes and he told me he uses oil paints. I just assumed most people used an airbrush for all painting.

I am happy with the way the nose comes out with an airbrush. I also use the airbrush on the ears, but sometimes find it hard to get the paint off of the hair.
