I have also used the Epo Grip water based hide paste that sets up in 4-6 hours. I dont' tumble capes either so they are usually damp, and I have never had a problem. my only problem is the bottle I had ended up having fungus in it, which surprised me because it states right on the bottle that it has a fungicide in it. I tossed the bottle. I can't remember how old it was but I had only done 3 or 4 mounts with it.

If I buy it again, I may just pour what I need into a container and dispose of any leftover to try to control any contamination of the bottle. I know fuzzies float in the air, but it is the best thing I can thing of other than buying a biological safety cabinet to prevent contamination, and I just can't afford one of those!
