I will try and post a pic on my next one that will be this week sometime.
Never had a problem with drumming on detail work on the form.
Deepen the grooves, makes sure plenty of hidepaste in them, I use 3/8 wooden dowels with 1 1/2 finishing nails through them.
I place a couple of hide nails in each groove to initially hold the detail in and then place the dowels (that i cut in different lengths) into the grooves and tack the finishing nails down into the form through the hide.
After a week of drying I remove them and groom and set my cape.
I will post a pic of the one im doing now that will be done this week.
Oh and on areas that countour and bend over the neck you can get metal rods and bend them to shape then take 2" pins and bend a hook on the very end slide them into the hide next to the metal rod and let the hook wrap around the rod to hold it in place.
Maybe on my next mount I will take pics of the process as I go and anyone wanting them can email me and I will send you a set

Hope this helps
Steve
