 As far as the strawberry queen is concerned, that is exactly why she won; she lives in Ponchatoula, her family owns a restaurant there and her family has relatives that are involved with the pageant. There were two other contestants who deserved to win and the audience was stunned when they announced that the other two were 1st and 2nd alternate; except for Rebecca's Ponchatoula people. If they wanted someone from Ponchatoula, they should have had a closed pageant.
