I am in the process of getting scuba diving certified for 60 feet. Is anyone else certified?? Anyone want to go scuba diving in Cairnes (sp?) when we get to Australia?

I'm not scuba certified, but this is one of the places that I'd like to go to in Australia. This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know if there are "reef activities" other than diving?

When i talked to Jason Seletos about not being scuba certified he said its not a big deal and that we could go snorkeling. Obvisouly its not as bad ass as scuba diving, but he said its a pretty good alternative...you down?

I'd definitely go snorkeling. I went to some Australian tourism website and it looks like there are a ton of really good deals on snorkeling day trips, so we shouldn't have a problem setting one up. It's quite a ways north, so hopefully once we get over there and figure out who all is interested, we can look into renting cars, flights, etc.
